Charles Langdale

Howden Insurance Brokers

Charles joined Howden in 2002, and is now Managing Director of Howden’s International team of 70 staff, based in London, Miami and Singapore and Head of Transactional Liability.
Howden are a specialist broker who operate in more than 18 countries across the world, and are a leading advisor in the management liability insurance market, providing cover to 36% of the UK Private Equity industry.  They are increasingly providing transactional liability solutions to these clients through their Transactional Liability team.
Charles has 15 years’ experience in the placement of Directors’ and Officers’ and Financial Lines insurances, specialising in the design and placement of bespoke liability products for the financial services industry, as well as managing the business, which has grown tenfold over the past eight years.
After graduating from the University of Bristol in 1996, Charles joined Aon Professional Risks in London concentrating on their Financial Institutions and Directors’ and Officers’ liability specialisations.  During this period he gained a professional qualification and became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
