James Benfield

Baird Capital Partners Europe

James has worked in Private Equity for 12 years and joined Baird Capital Partners Europe in April 2002. He led and managed the firm's recent manufacturing investments in Gabbro Precision and in Paddock, which exited in 2010 achieving the 2011 “Unquote” Small Buy-Out of the Year Award. He previously worked for Pi Capital and PricewaterhouseCoopers after beginning his career as an engineer on major transport infrastructure projects in the UK, notably the Heathrow Express project. James has a particular focus and personal interest in manufacturing in the UK. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a first class honours degree in Engineering and Management.
Baird Capital Partners Europe’s portfolio is supported by in-house operating resources in China and India, focused on facilitating and executing Asia distribution, manufacturing and sourcing strategies for its portfolio companies.
