Jeff Montgomery

GMT Communications Partners

Jeff has 25 years of private equity investment experience in the Communications Industry. He conceived the idea for Baring Communications Equity, the first dedicated private equity fund focussed on the communications industry in Europe. He was the Managing Partner from 1995 to 2000, and was Chairman of its Executive Committee. The group became independent in 2000, and was renamed GMT Communications Partners. A total of €775 million has been raised and managed by the team since inception.  Prior to co-founding GMT, Jeff was a Managing Director of the Veronis Suhler & Associates communications investment fund in New York. Prior to this he spent 10 years in operating positions in the publishing and cable TV industries, principally on international assignments.
