Matthew Johnston

Alix Partners

Matthew is a turnaround and restructuring professional who has added to his 12 years of hands-on advisory experience with three years as CFO of a UK outdoor advertising company. Matthew previously spent seven years working in insolvency and restructuring at Andersen. Matthew has led several assignments at AlixPartners including holistic, out of court turnarounds as well as stabilising, managing and realising the European assets of several high profile global companies. In March 2007, Matthew joined Titan Outdoor Advertising as UK CFO. Whilst at Titan, Matthew led the implementation of the turnaround and restructuring plan. Titan was acquired by JC Decaux in January 2010. Matthew returned to AlixPartners in November 2010 and is currently playing a central role in the successful restructuring of Southern Cross Healthcare Group Plc.
Matthew is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), an Associate Member of the Institute for Turnaround (IFT) and a Member of the Securities Institute.
