Roger Pedder

Bargain Booze

Roger has enjoyed a varied managerial and entrepreneurial career. After a range of jobs in retail he founded Pet City, which was sold to Petsmart of America in 1996. Subsequent start-ups and turnarounds include Craftworld and Robert Dyas. Rejoining shoe company Clarks as a non-executive director in 1988 – having first worked for the chain in 1963 – Roger became chairman in 1993. He retired in 2006 and has subsequently been made chairman of companies such as Bargain Booze, Symm Group and Spa&Salon Intl.
